The opening of the Letchworth Festival took place on Saturday 13th June.
The camera club had a stand, the idea being to attract new members for the 2015/16 season. Unfortunately the weather was awful and it rained solidly all day. This meant it kept the usual crowds away which was a great shame for all those taking part.
I manned our stand most of the day but I did get half an hour off so I could wander round.
The Letchworth Garden City Classic and Vintage Car Club had a display of vehicles. The rain on the highly polished surfaces really attracted me so I spent some time taking detail shots of the vehicles. I prefer the close-in approach because the images tend to get spoiled with people crowded round the cars having a gander and you can rarely get a shot with a decent, uncluttered background.
